Despite the difficulties that the player encountered under his colors, Atlético is in favor of a return of Joao Felix to its ranks.
Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo says his club would be ready to welcome Joao Felix back at the end of the current campaign.
Cerezo ready to reach out to Joao Felix
The Portuguese international striker is on loan at FC Barcelona and scored the winning goal against his original club on Sunday in the league. The Matelassiers decision-makers do not hold it against him, however, and they would like to sign him again.
Cerezo told Mundo Deportivo: “ Joao Felix is an Atletico Madrid player on loan to Barcelona and we wish him the best. He is one of the best players in Europe and plays for Barcelona. If Barcelona don’t sign him next year, he will want to become an Atlético Madrid player again, it’s as simple as that.”
It is not certain, however, that this is the wish of the former Benfiquist. In the Spanish capital, due to football that does not really match his qualities, he has never been able to do well. Moreover, just last week, he alienated himself Gimenez and Griezmann through provocations on and off the pitch.
