With a header from a cross from Benoît Badiashile, Enzo Fernandez opened the scoring for Chelsea against Brighton on Sunday afternoon for his very first goal in the Premier League. As a reminder, the Argentine midfielder was recruited for 121 million euros last January, after his superb 2022 World Cup with Argentina (until the coronation at the expense of the France team).

Enzo, who had already scored in the EFL Cup this season, becomes (only) Chelsea’s fourth Argentinian scorer in the Premier League, after Juan Sebastien Veron (2003-2004), Hernan Crespo (2003-2004 and 2005-2006) and Gonzalo Higuain (2018-2019).

Striker Franco Di Santo never managed to score with Chelsea in 16 matches (2008-2009), just like goalkeeper Willy Caballero.
