Israel – Gaza: Algeria intervenes for Palestine

The Algerian Football Federation announced on Sunday that Algeria will host the Palestine selection for a preparatory camp for the Asian Cup of Nations from December 12 to 22.

Since the start of the conflict on October 7, Palestine has played its two qualifying matches for the 2026 World Cup against Lebanon (0-0) and Australia (defeat) in Sharjah, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait .

But the Palestinian selection now has strong support. In the midst of the conflict between Hamas and Israel, the Algerian Federation (FAF) has indeed communicated its support. Concretely, the FAF will welcome the Palestine team for its preparation course for the Asian Cup of Nations which will take place from January 12 to February 10, 2024 in Qatar, promising to put “all means for the success of this grouping”.

Palestinian players will thus be able to benefit from “ necessary infrastructure to guarantee the selection of this brother country to carry out an excellent internship »the body said via an official press release.

It is specified that the Palestinian internationals will stay in the city of Annaba for ten days, from December 12 to 22, to complete this internship.
