FC Nantes in mourning

The Nantes supporter, member of the Loire Brigade, victim of a stabbing on the sidelines of Nantes-Nice (2-1), died from his injuries.

While FC Nantes won its first match in more than a month against OGC Nice (1-0), Saturday evening at La Beaujoire, as part of the 14th day of Ligue 1, a Nantes supporter was fatally stabbed. An hour before kick-off, this 31-year-old supporter, member of the Loire Brigade (the main group of FCN supporters), was the victim of a stabbing.

In cardiovascular arrest, the victim was transported to the university hospital in very serious condition. She ultimately died a few hours later from her injuries. The attacker would be a VTC driver.

The VTC driver went to the police

“Shortly before 8 p.m., several VTC vehicles transporting Nice supporters were attacked by supporters of FC Nantes”, indicated the public prosecutor of Nantes, Renaud Gaudeul, in a press release, and added: “During these events, in circumstances which remain to be determined, a 31-year-old man, a supporter of FC Nantes, collapsed. »

The VTC driver first fled, before going to the police station in the evening, according to Ouest-France. The prosecution opened an investigation to ” voluntary homicide “which was entrusted jointly to the territorial direction of the judicial police and the Loire-Atlantique departmental security.
