Worst CSC ever?

The Hamburg goalkeeper has earned his place in the compilations of the most beautiful own-goals for quite a while…

Poor Daniel Heuer Fernandes. The Hamburg goalkeeper scored a rather incredible own goal during his team’s trip to St. Pauli on Friday evening. On a six-yarder played short by HSV, the Portuguese goalkeeper shifted to the left of his goal to help build the game. But one of his teammates poorly managed his back pass, and Heuer Fernandes, wanting to clearing this ball (which did not seem to be heading towards the goal), was completely missed. The 31-year-old goalkeeper sent a huge kick under the crossbar, to offer himself a CSC as terrible as spectacular.

Daniel Heuer Fernandes took responsibility for his loss after the meeting. “ It was planned in the preparation for the match, explains the former Darmstadt player about six-yarders played like this. I stand a little next to the goal, but I’m a little unhappy when I receive the pass behind my back. When I want to clear it, the ball accelerates (there is a false bounce, editor’s note) and I make this shot. This is extremely unfortunate. Things like this happen and you can’t undo them. »

It is all the more terrible for Daniel Heuer Fernandes as this goal allowed St. Pauli to quickly lead 2-0 in this Hanseatic derby. But Hamburg managed to come back to 2-2 in the second half and the Portuguese goalkeeper, despite this incredible gift offered to the rival, was encouraged by the HSV fans until the end. “It’s the link between the team and the fans. I’m used to it here and that’s what defines the club.”he greeted.
