Gabriel Moscardo has reportedly chosen Paris Saint-Germain over Chelsea, with Corinthians having set their price for the 18-year-old midfielder.

According to Foot Mercato, the Parisians have taken a step ahead of Chelsea in the pursuit of the 18-year-old midfielder. PSG director Luis Campos is preparing to fly to Brazil to complete the deal which could cost 25 million euros. Chelsea have had a €20million bid rejected, with Corinthians prepared to sell their prized possession to the highest bidder.

Moscardo has reportedly decided to join PSG in January and both clubs want to shake hands as soon as possible. The player believes the Blues have several midfield options in the likes of Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo, Conor Gallagher, Romeo Lavia, Lesley Ugochukwu, Carney Chukwuemeka and Andrey Santos, and fears they will have to fight for minutes with the London club.

Chelsea cannot offer Moscardo a potential loan deal as he has used up all seven available international loan slots. PSG therefore has the possibility of getting their hands on the player, even if he joined the race quite late.

Chelsea are struggling to score goals and Mauricio Pochetttino could consider signing an additional striker in January. The Blues are reportedly interested in signing Ivan Toney from Brentford, but will face stiff competition from Arsenal for the striker.
