Jérôme Rothen welcomed the dismissal of Fabio Grosso at Olympique Lyonnais.
Fabio Grosso is no longer the OL coach. Just two months after his arrival, he was asked to hand in his apron. Bruno Sage is currently acting at Les Gones, and former Olympian coach Igor Tudor is expected to arrive at Groupama Stadium in the near future.
“Grosso was not made for Lyon”
Was John Textor right to part ways with the Italian coach so quickly? Jérôme Rothen, the controversial presenter of RMC Sport, is convinced of this. For the former Parisian, there was no other solution than that.
🗣💬 Antoine, OL supporter: “The club has been downgraded over the years and the main culprit is Jean-Michel Aulas. This squad is catastrophic. We can bring in all the coaches in the world, it won’t work. I am convinced that we will not be able to survive.” pic.twitter.com/cSb9hyEXKo

“The transplant didn’t work. I hope he bounces back elsewhere. He was overwhelmed by all the events. He was not made for OL and the French championship. This is only good news for Lyon. Afterwards, that won’t be enough…”, he confided during his show Rothen s’ignée.
During this broadcast, Rothen also attacked the owner of OL. He accused him of “having caught idiots”, to deny information that was true. He also recalled that he had known in October that nothing was going well within the Rhone team and that the locker room had let go of their coach.
