The former Marseille player, Mario Balotelli, cited the coach with whom he did not enjoy working at all.

Mario Balotelli, the enfant terrible of Italian football, is known for not keeping his tongue in his pocket. He says what he thinks out loud, including towards people he meets in the profession. The ex-Olympian has just attacked a coach who managed him during one of the most important periods of his career.

This coach that Balotelli no longer wants to hear about

Asked about the worst manager of his career, Balotelli cited Brendan Rodgers, his manager at Liverpool. In an interview with TVPlay, he confided that the Northern Irish technician was “the most coachable” he had met during his long professional career.

The Italian also called Rodgers a “disaster on a human level”. It’s no wonder the two didn’t work together for too long. Barely a year before “Super Mario” headed to Milan.

However, Balotelli still acknowledged that Rodgers showed some good qualities in his training. There is certainly some truth in what he says, given that the current Celtic manager came very close to offering the Reds the league title in 2014. It was a slip-up. That of Steven Gerrard.
