Author of a double against Ajax Amsterdam this Thursday, Aubameyang became the second top scorer in the history of the Europa League.
Author of one goal in the last nine matches in all competitions, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was expected at the turn this Thursday against Ajax Amsterdam in the Europa League. The Gabonese was quick to respond to the expectations placed on him by converting a penalty in the 9th minute of play to open the scoring.
At the start of the second period, PEA once again stood out with a magnificent acrobatic return which allowed OM to double the lead. Thanks to his 6th achievement in the European Cup this season, the former Stéphanois has equaled Abedi Pelé, Alen Boksic, Loïc Rémy, André-Pierre Gignac and Philippe Vercruysse among Marseille scorers in Europe. He then overtook them by scoring a hat-trick from the penalty spot at the very end of the game.
