Real Madrid pocketed their 5th success in a row in C1, while MU once again failed to win.

It was the night for dummies! Five of the eight Champions League matches which took place this Wednesday ended with parity scores. Victories were rare, including among the big teams involved. Only Real and Arsenal managed to hold their place.

Manchester United on the brink of elimination

Qualified for the majority of them for the 8th, the tenors did not see fit to force themselves. This was particularly the case for Bayern, author of a poor draw at home against Copenhagen (0-0). Without consequence on the fate of the Bavarians in this event. Manchester United’s parity result against Galatasaray, however, is a little more embarrassing. By sharing the honors with the Turks, and while they led by a score of 2-0 then 3-0, the Red Devils no longer have their destiny in their hands with a view to a passage to the round of 16.

Arsenal, the other English club out this Wednesday, is a little better off. Easy winner of RC Lens (6-0), Arteta’s team consolidated its first place in its group. The London team can be jubilant, just like PSV. By winning 3-2 in Seville while trailing 0-2, the Dutch are sure of reaching the next round.

Real received five out of five

In Group C, Real Madrid continued their grand slam by getting the better of Naples. Jude Bellingham scored and the Merengue won 4-2. Young Nicolas Paz scored the goal which allowed the locals to break away. Because of this result, Naples failed to ensure its qualification even though it had the possibility of doing so. Given that there is 1-1 in the other match between Braga and Union Berlin, the Partenopei remain within reach of 3e.

Finally, in Group D, Inter was set to lose its 1e place for the benefit of Real Sociedad. The European vice-champion was trailing 0-3 at Benfica. Finally, the Lombards managed to secure a draw (3-3). With this result, they continue to be ahead of the Basque team thanks to a better goal average. Real Sociedad, which was unable to dominate Salzburg (0-0).
