PSG-Newcastle: UEFA sanctioned one of the referees

A controversial decision. Yesterday evening, the PSG-Newcastle referee, Mr. Szymon Marciniak, awarded a penalty (after consulting the VAR, editor’s note) following a handball in the English area. For many, this is a mistake. The Magpies, the British press and several consultants are of this opinion. UEFA risks having to decide on the subject after the enormous controversy aroused by this fact of the game.

The governing body of European football has already made a first important decision. A.S. reveals that Tomasz Kwiatkowski, who was in charge of VAR last night in Paris, was dismissed by UEFA following his error.
