An English football icon has made very harsh comments against Chelsea defender Thiago Silva.
Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has spoken out about veteran Brazilian defender Thiago Silva. The former English footballer said he was saddened by the former Parisian’s performance against his former club.
“It hurts to see Thiago Silva in this state”
Thiago Silva delivered a disappointing performance in the Blues’ 4-1 defeat against the Magpies in the Premier League on Saturday. Speaking in the “Rest Is Football” Podcast, the best director in the history of football confided. “It’s true that we all have difficult times, and he’s a big name in football, but I found it a bit sad because he made two huge mistakes.
“I know how physical he is and all the efforts he makes to not miss a game, but it was difficult for him. He was so good for so many years, so it wasn’t easy to see him struggling so much.” added Shearer.
