Immobile saves Lazio

Substitute at kick-off, Ciro Immobile scored twice to give Lazio victory against Celtic (2-0) in the Champions League.

Thanks WHO ? Thank you Ciro Immobile! The Lazio captain allowed his team to win against Celtic (2-0) this Tuesday evening, during the 5th day of the Champions League.

The Italian international was however a substitute at the kick-off, but it was he who broke the deadlock at the end of the match with a fox goal, receiving a deflected shot (82nd). And the former Dortmund player scored twice straight away (85th) to make the Stadio Olimpico roar once again.

This success allows Lazio to temporarily take the lead in its group, while waiting for Feyenoord-Atlético. A success for Atlético would even allow the two teams to be qualified before facing each other on the last day. On the other hand, with only 1 point taken in five days, Celtic are now eliminated and will finish last in the group.
