While he struggles to be sharp offensively, FC Barcelona experienced a big blow during the last international window. As reported Mundo Deportivo, the footballer arrived early at the Barcelona hospital, accompanied by his parents, his sister and his agent, without forgetting the Barça doctor, Doctor Richard Pruna. The media added that it was Doctor Joan Carles Monllau, specialist in orthopedic and trauma surgery, who carried out the procedure. The latter has also already seen other Blaugrana elements pass through, such as Philippe Coutinho and the double Ballon d’Or, Alexia Putellas.

Suture at the meniscus
For its part, FC Barcelona sent an official press release to confirm that the operation had been successful regarding the tear of the cruciate ligament in question and that a suture had been carried out at the level of the meniscus. Gavi will now rest, recover and embark on a very long period of fitness.
