Former PSG striker Guillaume Hoarau has named the player who should be aligned as number nine in the Ile-de-France team.
Like any big self-respecting club, PSG has double positions everywhere. The abundance of possessions doesn’t hurt, but it still creates some dilemmas within the starting team. For example, there is the question of who should occupy the center forward position in Luis Enrique’s 4-3-3. It’s between Gonçalo Ramos and Kolo Muani and so far neither has managed to break away.
Hoarau leans in favor of Gonçalo Ramos
Guillaume Hoarau, former striker of the Ile-de-France team, was asked to give his opinion on the subject during the Canal Football Club program on Canal+. And the Reunionese did indeed have a preference. “As an old nine, I don’t like false nines. I am for Ramos personally. He showed some interesting things, and he offers another alternative. In addition, he needs to play one match after another for confidence. It worked well on Friday, so why change.”
Same story with Laure Boulleau, present on the same set. “Dembelé, Mbappé and Kolo Muani, the three have the same profile. So, it feels good to have a point of fixation with Ramos.”
Hoarau also had to give his opinion on Kylian MbappĂ©’s best position. His answer : “He doesn’t swap with DembelĂ©. If that’s where he feels better and he’s talked about it with his coach, then why not. But I don’t believe in it as number 9.”
