Liverpool are currently looking to attract one of the young promises of Brazilian football to their squad.

English club Liverpool are in advanced negotiations to recruit Sao Paulo defender Lucas Beraldo.

Liverpool thinking about the future

According to UOL media, this young player, barely 19 years old, could sign up for the Reds in January. He would thus join his compatriot Alisson on the banks of the Mersey.

Rafael Reis, from the media in question, said: “He only has a year and a few months of professional career and experience in Brazilian football, so he needs to be tested a little more before fighting for a place in the Paulista team. But Beraldo has a lot of potential. And Liverpool, the favorite club to bring him from São Paulo, knows it very well.”

According to the transfermarkt site, Beraldo has a market value of around 6 million euros. He has no appearances for the Brazilian national team yet, but has played with the Seleçao under-20s.
