The defeat conceded by Olympique Lyonnais against Lille further darkens Fabio Grosso’s record at the head of Les Gones.
The improvement was short-lived. While they had (finally) opened their score in Rennes, during their last match before the international break, the Lyonnais experienced a violent relapse on Sunday against Lille. OL lost 2-0 at home and remains stuck in last place in the Ligue 1 standings.
This new setback is another stone in the garden of Fabio Grosso who is experiencing the worst beginnings of an Olympique Lyonnais coach. In seven Ligue 1 matches, the Italian technician has one victory for two draws and four defeats and these measly five points constitute a record of mediocrity. Enough to further weaken the position of the former full-back, who is increasingly criticized.
