Returning from the locker room, Gian Piero Gasperini’s players appeared reinvigorated and put pressure on their opponents. Thus, Ademola Lookman allowed the locals to quickly get back on track in the second half (1-1, 53rd). Maintaining the pressure on Naples, Atalanta Bergamo believed they were taking the advantage but Mario Pasalic finally saw his goal refused due to an offside position by Teun Koopmeiners (68th). Finally, a little against the flow of the second half, it was Eljif Elmas who allowed the Neapolitans to leave with the three points at the start of the last ten minutes of play (1-2, 79th). In difficulty, especially during the second act, Napoli climbed to third place and Walter Mazzarri thus marked his return with a victory difficult to acquire on paper.
