Barça coach Xavi was angry with the referee after the draw conceded against Rayo.
FC Barcelona has again dropped points in the Spanish championship. This Saturday, the Blaugrana were forced to a parity score by Rayo Vallecano. At the final whistle, and rather than attacking his flock, Xavi chose to blame the refereeing.
Xavi rails against refereeing
At the end of the game, the Spanish champions were deprived of a penalty. And that’s what made their coach say: “We have difficulty interpreting the referees’ decisions, we are unlucky. Since the start of the season, we have always had problems.”
Barca were not given a penalty on this play in the 94th minute and the match finished 1-1.

Xavi was still honest enough to recognize that everything was not perfect in his team’s game: “There were two halves. In the first, we dominated but we weren’t aggressive. In the second we got closer to what we wanted, generating and being able to score more. We need to be self-critical and improve.”
Finally, the Blaugrana coach still distributed some good points: “We once again conceded a goal that was avoidable on our part, but I think Iñaki Peña played a very solid game and Frenkie (De Jong) was very good, playing the full 90 minutes.”
