Arsenal took full advantage of the draw between Man City and Liverpool: the Gunners snatched victory from Brentford to take the lead in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Premier League has a new leader: Arsenal! Manchester City lost their leadership position this Saturday, after their draw against Liverpool (1-1), two weeks after the completely crazy 4-4 against Chelsea. It is therefore the Gunners who take advantage of the opportunity to take the lead in the ranking, for the 13th day, thanks to a success at Brentford (0-1).
Mikel Arteta’s men did not really shine during this trip to West London. The Gunners thought they would open the score before the break through Leandro Trossard (42nd), but the VAR spotted a rather improbable offside. At the end of the match, finally, a cross from Buyako Saka was taken at the far post by Kai Havertz (89th), who had come on 10 minutes earlier in place of Gabriel Martinelli.
The winning goal by Kai Havertz 😱
