A former great Real Madrid player has said that the Spanish giant would do well to bet a third time on Zinedine Zidane as coach.

Zinedine Zidane has managed Real Madrid twice. His first stint with the Merengue was more successful than the second, but he still left a fairly good image on the Bernabeu side. To this day, he remains the second most successful coach in the club’s history behind Miguel Munoz.

“Zidane is the ideal coach for Real”

Despite his inexperience in this role, ZZ convinced on the bench. And today, many in the Spanish capital are campaigning for its comeback. This is the case of his ex-teammate Guti, who would see him succeed Carlo Ancelotti next summer.

“Why not a third term for Zidane at Real Madrid? There are coaches who can stay a long time and go through several stages in Madrid, because they are perfect”said Guti during an intervention on the show El Chiringuito.

Guti would like to see Zidane back on the Merengue bench.

Guti therefore wants the Frenchman to be given another chance. On the other hand, he especially does not want to see the very controversial José Mourinho take charge of the Merengue again. “There were times with Mourinho where I got bored watching Real Madrid play, that’s the reality. Mourinho does not have the profile of a coach for Real Madrid.”

Note that The Special One recently spoke about his time in Madrid (from 2010 to 2013). He indicated that the only coach crazy enough to leave this prestigious club without anyone asking him. Let us also note, and with all due respect to Guti, that it was with him that Real beat their record for goals in a season. They completed the 2012/2013 financial year with 115 achievements.
