Jérôme Rothen has decided to publicly settle scores with former PSG midfielder Marco Verratti.
Obviously, Marco Verratti and Jérôme Rothen will not spend their vacation together… Not kind to the Italian midfielder during these last months as a Paris Saint-Germain player, the host of RMC saw Marco Verratti respond to him in a manner scathing via a message sent by Andy Delort.
“Verratti told me he didn’t like Jérôme (Rothen),” said the former Montpellier and Nice striker on RMC. And the reply from the former number 25 of the capital club was not long in coming…
“Verratti, I put him in the wall”
“He doesn’t love me because I confronted him with his contradictions, said Jérôme Rothen at the microphone of RMC. I put it in the wall. Andy, you will especially tell him that I defended him for eight years. It’s weird, he didn’t have a problem with me. It’s weird. Football, holy football…”
Pushed towards the exit this summer after eleven seasons spent at Paris Saint-Germain, Marco Verratti joined willy-nilly Qatar, where he signed with the Al-Arabi club for no less than 40 million euros. A heartbreak for the Italian international, who would have liked to continue his Parisian adventure for a few more seasons.
