A French club recently surveyed former OM coach Jorge Sampaoli.
Without a club since his ouster from Flamengo at the end of last September, Jorge Sampaoli could return to service… in Ligue 1! According to information from the Italian journalist, Rudy Galetti, Olympique Lyonnais would have approached the former OM coach with a view to taking over from Fabio Grosso, who has not convinced since his arrival in the Rhône there at two months.
🚨🗣️ #OL approached #Sampaolias a possible replacement of Grosso, to explore the room of negotiation.
❌ Despite rumors, no talks between the 🇦🇷 coach and 🇵🇪 National Team.

Information confirmed by So Footwho adds that Sampaoli’s entourage describes OL as “great team”, therefore likely to interest the Argentinian technician. The latter has already been contacted by the Rhone club in the past, when Juninho was the sporting director. “I thought of him when I came back to the club”revealed the former Gones attacking midfielder on RMC.
Grosso plays big
It must be said that Fabio Grosso is struggling to get things back on track, despite a first victory this season in Rennes (0-1), in pain, just before the international break. The transalpine coach already knows he is threatened and will be expected at the turn during the next matches of the Lyonnais, who will host Lille this weekend, before traveling to Lens then to Marseille. A complicated schedule which does not help the affairs of the 2006 world champion.
