The LFP Disciplinary Commission decided to postpone its sentence regarding the behavior of Lyon supporters in Marseille on October 29.

While OL appealed the decision of the Disciplinary Commission of the Professional Football League not to sanction OM for the incidents which took place in the closing match of the 10e day of L1 three weeks ago, this same commission is slow to decide on the verdict reserved for the Rhone supporters who within the Vélodrome that evening distinguished themselves by their racist gestures and remarks.

Given the seriousness of the facts, the LFP Disciplinary Commission decided to put the case under investigation.we can read this Wednesday evening in a press release from the League. After reading the investigation report, the Commission decides to put the file under advisement pending additional information. It will make its final decision at the end of the meeting on Wednesday December 6, 2023. »

It is therefore on the same day of the rescheduling of the Olympico – for now at the Vélodrome and in public – that the sanction against the Gones supporters concerned will be known. The Marseille prosecutor’s office has also opened an investigation to “ incitement to racial hatred and racial insults “.
