A well-known personality in Marseille was attacked at his home this week.
Despite a departure amid general confusion, his name remains associated with Olympique de Marseille. André Villas-Boas had a notable stint on the bench of the Marseille club, between 2019 and 2021. Returning to Portugal to put his coaching career on hold, “AVB” is a candidate for the presidency of his former club, FC Porto . And we have to believe that this ambition could damage his image in his native country.
This Wednesday, Villas-Boas announced that he had been the victim of an attack at his home, a few weeks after his house was vandalized.
“Today around 12:48 a.m., my residence was the target of acts of violence and vandalism, explained the former OM coach on his Instagram account. Fireworks were set off, which alerted me, a colleague and a few neighbors. The PSP (public security police, editor’s note) was called to the scene. Later, around 4:30 a.m., at the same place, my colleague was violently attacked by strangers and had his property stolen, including his car. Having received medical treatment on site, he is still being observed in a hospital unit and receiving the necessary medical care to treat his injuries. The PSP was called to the scene and the Criminal Investigation Department (DIC) was also present to take into account the incident. Unfortunately, acts of intimidation, vandalism and violence continue and I call on the authorities to cooperate in resolving these incidents.”concluded Villas-Boas.
