Nothing is going well for the Seleçao. Already beaten in Colombia on Thursday, it suffered a new defeat against Argentina on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday (1-0).
Brazil is at its worst. Hosting Argentina, the Seleçao lost 1-0 at the Maracana on a goal from Nicolas Otamendi shortly after the hour mark. Nothing less than the first home defeat for the Brazilians in a qualifying campaign for world Cup.
And this defeat is all the more unwelcome as it follows the setback conceded in Colombia five days earlier and that recorded in Uruguay last month. After six matches, Brazil has two wins, one draw and three defeats and is in sixth place with seven points.
