In order to compensate for the absence of Warren Zaire-Emery, it is likely that Paris Saint-Germain will strengthen in midfield during this winter transfer window.
Warren Zaire-Emery’s injury during France’s match against Gibraltar (14-0) last Saturday will deprive him of Paris Saint-Germain’s next matches, including the shocks against AS Monaco and Newcastle. It is also possible that he will miss the trip to Le Havre.
However, it is not excluded that he could return before the international break in December. A big blow for the Parisian titi, which reinforced the conviction of Luis Campos, the club’s football advisor, and his teams of the need to strengthen the PSG midfield this winter.
According to The Parisian, Parisian management is reportedly considering recruiting Khéphren Thuram (OGC Nice) and Manu Koné (Borussia Mönchengladbach), who were already targeted by the Ile-de-France club last summer. Recruitments which could, however, be difficult to achieve. Another option could be considered, namely that of Wilfred Ndidi, who remained at Leicester despite the relegation of Foxes in the Championship at the end of the 2022-23 financial year.
PSG also ticked off the names of two other French internationals: Youssouf Fofana (AS Monaco) and Adrien Rabiot (Juventus Turin). Indeed, the two 2022 world vice-champions will see their contracts with their respective clubs expire next June.
