Real Madrid: the shocking decision

Real Madrid is going through a very difficult period, to the point of making an important decision.

Thibaut Courtois, Eder Militao, Aurélien Tchouameni and Arda Guler are already absent with significant injuries. This week, Eduardo Camavinga and Vinicius Junior suffered knee and hamstring injuries respectively.

Both players are expected to be out for 8-10 weeks, which could keep them out of action until February. Despite this, Fabrizio Romano told CaughtOffside that Real Madrid should not, at this stage, recruit replacements during the winter transfer window.

“Real Madrid’s position at the moment is not to rush and do nothing in the January transfer window. Unless things change and Vinicius Jr’s injury is more serious than expected, Real Madrid will keep the same team until the end of the season and then do something during the summer.

The Real Madrid squad will be put to the test over the coming weeks with a busy schedule, but for now at least there is no panic in the upper echelons of the club.
