Three days after its victory over Somalia (3-1), Algeria dominated Mozambique this Sunday in Maputo (0-2).

Jostled in the first period, despite the post being rung by Gouiri, the Fennecs made the difference after the break thanks to Chaibi (69e) and Zerrouki (80e).

Building on this second victory in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Djamel Belmadi’s men take control of their group ahead of Mozambique and Guinea, who will be able to pick up if they succeed in Botswana in two days.

Note this Sunday also the victory of Gabon in Burundi (1-2) and the draw of Nigeria in Zimbabwe (1-1).
