Paris Saint-Germain aims to become the owner of the Parc des Princes and renovate it to make it an ultra-modern stadium.

Since the takeover of the club by QSI in 2011, the Paris Saint Germain changed dimension. Capable of attracting the biggest stars of world football, the capital club has since won nine French championship titles and reached the Champions League final in 2020.

If lifting the Big Ears Cup remains PSG’s main objective, the club is still seeking to develop and grow its image around the world. For this, the club is still negotiating with the city of Paris to become the owner of the Parc des Princes, which it aims to completely renovate, as indicated The Team this Sunday.

Paris would indeed like to take inspiration from the renovation of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium and increase the capacity of its stadium to around 60,000 seats, compared to 48,229 currently. The work, which would cost nearly a billion euros, would also include the installation of a roof and a retractable pitch in order to make the Parc des Princes a most modern stadium.
