It’s done, Julien Stéphan returns to Stade Rennais. The 43-year-old coach, free since his departure from Strasbourg last January, will succeed Bruno Génésio, 56, confirmed on Saturday Radio France, relying on a source close to the native technician of the Breton city.
Julien Stéphan should sign up for six months, i.e. until the end of the season, he who had led the Ille-et-Vilaine team between December 2018 and March 2021, winning a Coupe de France in the process by beating PSG in the final (2019).
Bruno Génésio, at Stade Rennais for two years and under contract until June 2025, asked to leave his position, according to France Bleu Armorique.
