A former AC Milan striker believes Mario Balotelli was talented enough to win the famous individual prize several times.
Former AC Milan striker Kevin-Prince Boateng believes Mario Balotelli had what it took to win the Ballon d’Or. And more than once.
Boateng played with Adana Demirspor striker Balotelli at Milan and also at Monza. He has very good memories of their cohabitation. And, obviously, he remained under the spell of the footballing qualities of Super Mario.
“At his prime, Balotelli was in the Top 5 in the world”
“I like Balotelli, for me he could have won the Ballon d’Or three times, said the Ghana international in an interview with TVPlay. He needed someone like me every day or people to point him in the right direction.”
“He showed what he could do, I played with him and saw what he could do when he was serious. We all know what he can do, but not everyone manages to play several years at the highest level, but for me, when he was at the top, he was one of the five best strikers in the world.”he added about the enfant terrible of Italian football.
Boateng then spoke about one of Balotelli’s successors in the Milan attack, in this case Rafael Leao. “He is very strong, but Mario was on another level, he was a phenomenon.”
