Liverpool have been linked with a stunning move to sign Kylian Mbappé after Real Madrid pulled out of the race.
Real have reportedly made the decision not to pursue Mbappé next summer, when he will be available on a free transfer. The Whites have pursued the French international for several windows, but believe his contractual demands and current lease make him unattainable.
A new report of AS claims Mbappé wants up to 35 million euros a year after tax, which equates to a weekly salary of 586,000 pounds. He would also demand around 100 million euros as a signing fee.
Liverpool were already in the running last summer. But Mbappé has been a Real Madrid fan since childhood and a famous image of the striker as a child shows him surrounded by posters of Cristiano Ronaldo in his bedroom. However, while it seemed certain he would eventually join Spain, a move to England is now being considered.
