Real Madrid could soon bet on a Spanish international winger.
Anxious to strengthen its offensive sector, Real Madrid has launched the race for Athletic Bilbao striker Nico Williams. Rather satisfied with Joselu’s services, Castilian decision-makers consider that it is now better to shop in La Liga.
Real wants to get ahead of Barça
At the end of his contract in June, Williams is the target of FC Barcelona and several Premier League clubs. Manchester City, Newcastle and Aston Villa are also interested in Inaki’s brother, but he prefers to stay in Spain.
According to AS, Real Madrid went on the offensive to sign him and the player would be in favor of a stay at the Bernabeu. He favors this option over the one which would see him sign for Barça’s rival.
The striker also said he wouldn’t leave Athletic for nothing and would renew his contract before leaving. For him it would be a form of recognition towards a club which was behind his emergence at the highest level.
