The Naples club has just called on a new coach to take over from Rudi Garcia on the bench.
Rudi Garcia is no longer in charge of Italian team Naples. The French coach did not stay more than three months at the head of the Italian champions. He was relieved of his duties following the defeat conceded in the league against Empoli at home (0-1).
Mazzarri returns to Naples, ten years later
For the replacement of Garcia, the name of Antonio Conte had been put forward but it is ultimately another experienced transalpine coach who will take charge of the Partenopei. This is Walter Mazzarri.

Mazzarri is a veteran of the Neapolitan house. He played there between 2009 and 2013, notably leading this team to its first participation in the Champions League as well as to the triumph in the Italian Cup in 2012. It was the club’s first trophy in twenty years.
The Naples season can still start again with a vengeance. The team is on the verge of securing its place in the round of 16 of the Champions League and in Serie A it is not as far behind as that (4e of the ranking, 10 points behind the leader).
