Saturday evening, Luis Enrique surprised everyone by publicly stinging his star Kylian Mbappé. The latter had just scored a hat-trick on the pitch in Reims (3-0). The Spanish coach was not thrilled, however. And this is why he did not hesitate to criticize the French international striker for his lack of investment in the game. For Laure Boulleau, he is completely right to do so.
Boulleau understands Luis Enrique’s reaction
Why did the PSG coach attack his star player like this? Everyone has been giving their explanation for 48 hours. If some take a position to “play with the journalists”, like Robert Pires, others believe that the Iberian technician simply said what was on his heart.
Laure Boulleau, former player of the club, thinks that it was frustration that spoke to Luis Enrique. “He’s sending messages that he’s wanted to get across for a while. There is no logic between the match that Mbappé makes and the communication that Luis Enrique keeps. But I feel the frustration of a coach who sees on the pitch the opposite of what he wants to do”she confided during the Canal Football Club show.

Luis Enrique disillusioned because of Mbappé
For Boulleau, Luis Enrique realizes that the football he advocates with a team that has Mbappé in its ranks. “He (Luis Enrique) says to himself “I came here to play a polished game, and I find myself suffering because there is an Mbappé in my team””.
A respectable opinion. However, it is not shared by Laurent Boulleau, the other consultant of the encrypted channel. “To me, this is bullshit. He is not going to alienate Mbappé voluntarily.”
