The president of Real Madrid, Florentino Pérez, did not remain without reaction to the new injury of his recruit Arda Guler.
Arriving with great fanfare in Madrid during the previous transfer window, Arda Guler has still not been able to make his debut in the Real jersey. The fault is a fragile physique and its repeated injuries. For the Merengue management, however, he is not the only one responsible for what happens to him.
Pérez fires club doctor
According to the daily Marca, Real Madrid has chosen to part ways with its chief doctor, Dr. Niko Mihic. He is accused of having mismanaged the Guler case. He packed up his bags even though he had been in office for six years.
The relapses of Dani Ceballos and David Alaba this season are also the subject of complaints. The situation caused tension between players and medical staff, which eventually reached the boardroom. President Florentino Pérez therefore decided to act and make a change at the head of the club’s medical service.
Mihic was however close to Perez as well as Luka Modric and worked with Real for ten years before taking over exclusively in charge in 2017 after the Dr Olmo controversy.
