After the home defeat against Empoli (0-1), Rudi Garcia will lose his place at the head of Napoli. President De Laurentiis is already looking for a successor.

Rudi Garcia’s visit to Naples will end in the coming days. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Neapolitan president Aurelio De Laurentiis made the decision to part ways with his coach after the setback against Empoli (0-1) this Sunday.

The Italian leader was very angry at the end of the meeting. He has not yet met Garcia to inform him of his decision, but a meeting with the staff of the reigning champions is scheduled in Rome to choose the club’s next coach.

“The list of names ranges from Antonio Conte to Fabio Cannavaro, from Igor Tudor to the improbable return of Walter Mazzarri,” explains the Gazzetta dello Sport for whom “the only thing that is certain is that Rudi Garcia will not be present when training resumes Wednesday afternoon at Castel Volturno. »

Napoli’s sporting situation is not catastrophic, since the Campania club is in 4th place in Serie A, while remaining well placed in the Champions League. But the flamboyant play displayed last season under Luciano Spalletti has disappeared, and Garcia will also have to pay for his difficult relationship with the two stars, Victor Osimhen and Kvicha Kvaratskhelia.
