OL women won 5-0 against Montpellier on Friday evening in D1 Arkéma, thanks in particular to Kadidiatou Diani’s third goal this season.
Before starting their Champions League season next Tuesday against Slavia Prague, traveling to the Czech Republic, OL Women recorded their seventh victory in as many D1 Arkéma days on Friday evening, when Montpellier visited. A 5-0 victory at the Groupama OL Training Center marked by three own goals from the Héraultaises!
French internationals Kadidiatou Diani (17th, on a chance from Eugénie Le Sommer) and Wendie Renard (95th, on a cross from Selma Bacha) shook the nets for the Fenottes. Diani improves her statistics with this third goal in women’s D1. With her five assists, she is the most decisive player in the championship alongside Le Sommer, who has seven goals and one assist.
In addition to the great start to the “ELS” season, Diani, flagship recruit of the women’s football juggernaut, was somewhat eclipsed by some of her Lyon teammates, between the XXL performances of the Haitian prodigy Melchie Dumornay, also a newcomer in the Sonia Bompastor’s team, the return of world star Ada Hegerberg or even the activity of the untenable Selma Bacha on her left side.
