The eleventh day of the Bundesliga continued this Saturday with four matches scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Orphaned by Serhou Guirassy, still too tight to start, VfB Stuttgart, third, welcomed Borussia Dortmund, at the foot of the podium, at the MHPArena. A shock at the top which ultimately resulted in a logical victory for the locals (2-1). Despite a clear domination of the VfB and a missed penalty in the first moments, the Marsupiaux opened the scoring through Fullkrug (0-1, 36th) but Undav equalized just before the break (1-1, 42nd). Returning from the locker room, the entry into play of Guirassy changed (once again) the situation since the 27-year-old striker, returning from injury, scored from the penalty spot (2-1, 83rd) and gave his team the victory. Stuttgart thus maintains its third place, ahead of BvB. This Sunday, Leipzig could, however, take advantage of this result to overtake Borussia Dormtund.
In the other matches, Bayern Munich was scared against the promoted Heidenheim (4-2) but went on to a fifth victory in a row in the league. Carried by their jewel Harry Kane, author of his 16th and 17th goals in the Bundesliga, the Bavarians had quickly taken the lead but the visitors reacted upon returning from the locker room. In the space of three minutes, Kleindienst (67th) and Beste (70th) restarted this match but Guerreiro and Choupo-Moting finally allowed Bayern to escape. For its part, Mainz went on to a third match without defeat by winning the point of the draw on the Darmstadt pitch (0-0). Finally, Augsburg found the necessary resources to hold on to Hoffenheim (1-1). In the standings, Bayern temporarily regains the lead ahead of Leverkusen, Stuttgart and Dortmund. Sixteenth, Mainz is ahead of Union Berlin and Cologne.
