A big European team is reportedly looking to secure the services of West Ham’s Brazilian midfielder Lucas Paqueta.
Manchester City have not given up on the idea of signing Lucas Paqueta, the West Ham player.
The Brazil international attracted interest from City over the summer and Manchester officials are still interested in signing him, according to media outlet UOL.
Man City ready to try again for Paqueta
City offered 80 million euros for Paqueta last August. The Hammers agreed to sell but the operation failed due to an investigation into betting in Brazil to which the former Lyon player was subject.
However, Paqueta remains in the crosshairs of City, who are willing to try again, provided he is cleared of the betting investigation. Guardiola lacks a creative element in the middle due to De Bruyne’s injury and he believes the Brazil international is capable of living up to his expectations.
Paqueta and under contract with West Ham runs until the summer of 2027, with an option for a further year.
