Real Madrid turned away from Kylian Mbappé to favor the track leading to Erling Haaland.
The agent of Manchester City striker Erling Haaland was seen at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday evening. A visit which would not be innocent and took place the same day when the Iberian press announced the end of Merengue interest in Kylian Mbappé.
Haaland and Real Madrid, a first rapprochement made?
Rafaela Pimenta, the representative of Erling Haaland, among others, was seen in Madrid for Real’s match against Braga in the Champions League. During the day, the Cadena SER reported that the Spanish giant had given up on signing PSG star Kylian Mbappé and that the Norwegian was now the top target. The Iberian media then rushed to establish a link between these two events.
Haaland is still under contract with Manchester City until 2027. Even if he wants to sell him, the English club is likely to demand a record price if Real tries to seize the Norwegian cyborg.
As a reminder, Real has found itself without a leading striker worthy of the name since the departure of Karim Benzema to Saudi Arabia. Joselu occupies this role this season, but he clearly does not have the standing to be the leader of the Castilian team over time. Nobody says it out loud at Casa Blanca, but everyone thinks it.
