Raheem Sterling could be sanctioned by the FA for returning a projectile towards the stands at Tottenham stadium.

Chelsea gave himself a bit of fresh air Monday evening by winning on the lawn of Tottenham (4-1) at the end of an eventful match marked in particular by two red cards for Spurs and canceled goals on both sides, with extended injury time in both halves.

A projectile that could be expensive

During this match, Raheem Sterling, decisive passer on the Blues’ second goal scored by Nicolas Jackson, stood out for an ugly gesture which seemed discreet at first glance. During the celebration of Cole Palmer’s first goal under the whistles of Tottenham supporters, the England international returned a projectile thrown by them towards the stands.

This Thursday, the Daily Mail announces that the English Federation will take charge of the case and analyzed these images in order to determine whether the former Manchester City player could be exposed to a possible sanction.
