Without a club since the end of his adventure at Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane could quickly return to service.

Zinedine Zidane makes no secret of it: he can’t wait to get back on the bench. Two and a half years after his departure from Real Madrid, the former world champion is starting to find it long. After hoping to succeed Didier Deschamps on the bench of the France team, the native of Marseille had to make up his mind and is now looking for a new project.

Several clubs would have checked his name including Manchester United and Olympique de Marseille, at least if the club goes under the Saudi flag. But the hottest trail undoubtedly leads to Saudi Arabia. According to the site Revelo and several Saudi media, the French technician would in fact now be the priority of Al-Ittihad, which announced this Tuesday the dismissal of its coach, Nuno Espirito Santo.

If the poor results, including the defeat conceded in Iraq on Monday in the Asian Champions League against the Air Force Club (2-0), obviously explain this dismissal, the poor relations that the Portuguese technician had with Karim Benzema would also weigh heavily in this decision. The leaders of the Jeddah club have also started looking for a French technician and dream of attracting Zinedine Zidane. Contacts would have already been established with his entourage and the latter would not have closed the door.
