Paulo Dybala and José Mourinho have maintained a close relationship since the striker’s arrival at AS Roma in 2022. This complicity was confirmed by the Argentinian himself, in an interview with TyC Sports.
Since his arrival at AS Roma in July 2022, Paulo Dybala has forged strong ties with his coach José Mourinho. A bond which was strengthened even further after Argentina’s victory in the 2022 World Cup.
Indeed, the ex-Bianconero confided in an interview for TyC Sports that Mourinho was the first person to call him to congratulate him after the final won against France (3-3, tab 4-2). The Portuguese technician would have been full of praise for his Albiceleste teammates, particularly Angel Di Maria and Lionel Messi.
“When the match against France ended, I picked up my phone to call my family. And there, I saw five missed calls from José Mourinho! So, I think I called him before calling my mother. He was very happy for me but also for the team, because he loves the Argentinians. He always tells me wonderful things about Angel Di Maria and Lionel Messi too. He loves them very much,” said “La Joya”.
