“Dembélé must be more regular”
Dembélé is reveling in his situation. And that doesn’t please everyone. Even outside observers are starting to get annoyed by his lack of demands and ambition.
Among those who invited Dembélé to question himself, there is former international Benoit Trémoulinas (5 caps). On the L’Equipe channel, he declared: “We have to be tough on Dembelé, because he has extraordinary potential. He proved it in Barcelona, with a system that suited him. We expect him to do it at PSG. He does it intermittently, but he has to do it regularly. Like Mbappé, who rarely misses a match.”

And to those who point out that the two players do not evolve in the same register, Trémoulinas responds: “When Mbappé scores 3, Dembelé can still score one. He must also be decisive. I understand what he says, but we expect more from him. Even in the French team. At the last meeting of the Blues, he was the only one to have lost points. It’s up to him to get in tune and he’s aware of it.”
