Ousmane Dembélé returned home to Paris this summer. After several seasons at FC Barcelona, more or less convincing, the 26-year-old winger returned to France. A return home for the man who made his mark at Stade Rennais. But this decision was not the most complicated for the French international (39 caps, 4 goals), who told The Team the details of his arrival in the Capital.
“It was even my two best years, with a coach (Xavi) who trusted me. But I wanted to sign for PSG. It was more Paris that made me change my mind than simply leaving Barcelona.”, confides Ousmane Dembélé, eager to join Paris. Better, he specifies that he did not need KM7 to make his decision. “No (laughs). There wasn’t even a call. He asked me if I was going to come, that’s all. He didn’t try to convince me or anything. We came to PSG because we love the club, because it’s in France, too. I’m from Évreux, not far from here and it’s the club we love. We joined the project, and we especially spoke with the president, the sports director and the coach”. Tuesday evening, against AC Milan, Dembélé will have the opportunity to score his first goal this season.
