Sparkling since the start of the season, Warren Zaire-Emery is the new darling of the Parc des Princes. Having become essential in Luis Enrique’s system, the young midfielder has burst into the limelight several times already in the Champions League. So much so that in the France Espoirs team, Thierry Henry made him the new captain of the group. During an interview with the Gazzetta dello Sport, Nasser al-Khelaïfi was questioned about the young nugget, who takes over – more or less – from Marco Verratti in the midfield. But the president of PSG does not want to compare them.

“First of all, I pay tribute to Verratti for his contribution to PSG in 11 years: he is a fantastic player, Italy and the national team must be proud of him”begins NAK. “Warren is special, he grew up with us, he does phenomenal things and he is very mature for his age. Don’t compare it, it’s unique. He carves his own path. He is loyal, he is passionate and he has a good family, a good entourage. We are lucky to have players like that. The best want to come to us, but we train the best young people. Our new training center is at the heart of the next stage of development”, finally details Nasser al-Khelaïfi, proud to have such a nugget in his ranks. Warren Zaire-Emery should not let up, however, a place in the next Euro is up for grabs.
