By recovering Bradley Barcola from Lyon for €45 million (+€5 million bonus), PSG has returned to recruitment made in Ligue 1 with high potential. And this is undoubtedly only the beginning since the desire of Luis Campos and more generally of the Capital club is to make Ligue 1 its new playing field in the transfer window, a bit like Bayern Munich in the last ten seasons in the Bundesliga. And Paris is already preparing future transfer windows. According to our information, Luis Campos and the PSG recruitment unit plan to supervise in the coming weeks two crack Lille players trained at Domaine de Luchin, namely Leny Yoro and Lucas Chevalier.

Two elements that Paris imagines representing the capital club in the coming seasons. The first is considered one of the best central defenders of his generation at the age of 17. Indisputable holder of Paulo Fonseca in defense, Yoro is already one of the defenders who wins the most duels in Ligue 1. Serious and diligent in restarting, he is also capable of scoring goals from set pieces like against Rijeka or in Rennes. If the French U21 international still seems a little tender to claim a short-term place in the Parisian defensive rotation, the native of Saint-Maurice in Val-de-Marne never ceases to impress, to such an extent that he is of the same caliber as Wesley Fofana or William Saliba according to Rémy Cabella, who plays alongside him at LOSC and who knew the two French internationals well from the time he played at ASSE.

Yoro and Chevalier please Luis Campos

And if Yoro shines brightly in Lille, what can we say about Lucas Chevalier. The 22-year-old French hopeful international goalkeeper, who has started in the Lille cages since the summer of 2022 after a successful loan from Valenciennes, is also considered one of the best French goalkeepers. With 6 clean sheets in 11 matches and with 10 goals conceded in 11 days of Ligue 1, Chevalier, who kept France’s goals during the last Euro U21, continues to impress his people.

And Luis Campos would already have an idea in mind for the native of Calais, advised by Mike Maignan and recently dubbed by Hugo Lloris, who sees him succeeding him in the medium term in the goals of the Blues. The PSG recruitment manager would be very interested in the idea of recruiting him, even if it means leaving him on loan for a few months from his training club… Still, we will have to convince LOSC and Olivier Letang to let his two talents go. And if ever PSG really intends to go the second, then they will have to pay the price…
