Every day brings its share of new information concerning the future of Kylian Mbappé. One thing seems certain, particularly following the information published by The Parisian, even the main person concerned does not necessarily know where he will play next season. He has not yet decided and will take some time to think and analyze the situation. Suffice to say that Paris Saint-Germain can still believe in it, even if for the moment, its extension does not seem to have progressed at all. Real Madrid had published an official press release to deny any behind-the-scenes discussions with the Bondynois this weekend.
This Monday, the Spanish press added a layer and returned to this famous press release sent by the club in the Spanish capital on Saturday. As many suspected, Real Madrid wants to wash its hands and avoid any possible sanction requested by PSG, who, in the event of discussions between the Merengues and their player, could indeed file a complaint.
Real Madrid prefers to anticipate
As explained Defensa Central, it was – and still is – clearly Paris Saint-Germain’s plan. The Parisians want the Madrilenians to be sanctioned because they believe that Florentino Pérez and his men discussed with the attacker behind their back, but Real Madrid thus tried to thwart Nasser Al-Khelaïfi’s plans. Hence the implacable and strong tone used in this press release which notably evokes “speculation about alleged negotiations” launched by media and “categorically false information”.
Will this press release be enough to avoid sanctions? We will know soon, but on the Madrid side we have in any case tried to protect ourselves as much as possible. It is also for this reason that Florentino Pérez is very cautious and sometimes ironic when he discusses the Mbappé case publicly. What is certain is that Paris Saint-Germain has it bad…
